60-second water check
What's actually in your water?
Two quick taps and we'll tell you what's most likely going on — no email required.
Where does your water come from?
You already know something's off

Spots on everything
Cloudy glasses, crusty faucets, a film on the shower door. That white residue is dissolved minerals your dishwasher can’t rinse away.
Skin and hair feel wrong
Tight, itchy skin and dull, straw-like hair after every shower usually means hardness and chlorine are stripping the natural oils.
It tastes like a pool
A chemical or metallic taste at the tap is often chlorine, chloramine or old pipes — the reasons most families quietly switch to bottled water.
Your well water stains and smells
Orange staining, a rotten-egg smell or black flecks point to iron, manganese, sulfur or low pH — classic Delaware well problems.
Your water heater is dying early
Scale builds up on the heating element and insulates it, so the heater burns more energy to do less. Hard water can take years off its life.
Local water, real problems
The three water problems we fix most in Delaware

PFAS in New Castle County groundwater
New Castle County is one of the most documented PFAS areas in the country. These “forever chemicals” are invisible, tasteless, and don’t come out with a pitcher filter.
Whole-house carbon + reverse osmosis
Iron, manganese and low pH in Kent & Sussex wells
Most homes south of the canal are on private wells. Iron and manganese stain everything orange and black, and acidic low-pH water slowly eats copper pipes.
Well water treatment system
Chlorine, chloramine and aging pipes on city water
City systems add chlorine or chloramine to stay safe in the pipes — but you taste and smell it. Older Wilmington-area homes can also have lead or galvanized service lines.

Our systems
Built for the water you actually have
City water and well water are different problems. A 2,000 sq ft home and a 5,000 sq ft home are different problems. We size the system to your house, not to a price list.
How it works
How whole-home filtration works
One system on the main line treats the water before it goes anywhere else in the house. Whether you are on city water or a private well, the layout is the same.

Your water source
City water or a private well enters the home through a single incoming line.
Filter first
The system sits on the main line, so water is treated before it reaches anything else.
Clean water everywhere
Filtered water branches out to the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry.
Meet the crew
Every system has a job to do
Most homes need one or two of these working together. Your free water test tells us which ones.

I started Your Home Water Filtration in Newark after watching the water industry run on 3-hour appointments, disappearing prices and high-pressure sales. Families deserve better than that.
So we do it differently: a free test, a straight price, permitted installation by a licensed plumber, and a warranty that actually lasts. A real family that answers the phone.

What does a whole-house system cost?
Most whole-house filtration and softening systems land in a clear published range, and we give you one straight price after the free test — no disappearing quotes. (Replace with your real price anchor before launch.)
Do you pull permits?
Yes. In New Castle County and across Delaware, installs are done by a licensed plumber with the proper permits pulled. That protects your home and your warranty.
Do you test for PFAS?
We can test for and address PFAS, which is a real concern in New Castle County groundwater. Whole-house carbon plus reverse osmosis is the proven approach.
Is the water test really free?
Completely free, and it takes about 15 minutes. We would rather tell you that you don’t need a system than sell you the wrong one.
Do I need a softener if I’m on city water?
Often yes — most Delaware city water is moderately hard, which is what causes spotting and scale. The test tells us your exact number so you’re not guessing.
How long does installation take?
A typical whole-house install is about half a day. We schedule it once, do it right, and clean up after ourselves.
